Resident artists join professionals for gallery show
Creative residents and staff are being given the chance to have their work displayed alongside professional artists at the first-ever Notting Hill Genesis art show this year.
The A5 Show, run by our tenancy support network and held at a prestigious central London gallery, will see every item given the same £50 price tag regardless of who created it, with proceeds going to support our most vulnerable residents via the Tenant Hardship Fund.
It will build on successful art shows previously held by Notting Hill Housing.
If you’re a resident with a flair for drawing, painting, sewing or being generally creative, please get in touch to display your work.
How do I submit an artwork?
Art works can be in any medium, but must be two dimensional and A5 in size – that’s 148 x 210mm, 14.8 x 21cm or 5.8 x 8.3 inches. They also need to be original one-offs, so no prints or photographs of your work please. Please submit no more than three pieces of work via email to TheA5Show@nhhg.org.uk by 6pm on Monday 30 July. We’ll let you know if your work has been accepted for the exhibition by Monday 27 August.
When and where is the exhibition?
The exhibition runs from Thursday 29 November to Friday 21 December 2018 at the Koppel Project in High Holborn.
How can people buy the artwork?
All items will be displayed anonymously, with the artist remaining a mystery until someone makes a purchase. There will also be a website, where people can view exhibits online before the exhibition itself opens.
